Dear Sir/Madam

I own a small photography business based in Nether heyford that has just started out which I'm promoting.

I would welcome the opportunity to advertise in The Prattler and would be grateful if you could come back to me to let me know if this is possible. We cover all aspects of photography from weddings to the general family portrait.

Many thanks

Flickr is a good site to go to for photographs. Thank you for the recognition but in my case it is not needed, I am pleased you picked it. I thought I would raise this with you as there has been a lot of chat about this subject on various websites I go on, UKClimbing.com being one of the site and articles in photographic publications; some people do get bent right out of shape over this. Good work with the magazine, look forward to the next issue.

Sorry for lack of credit Richard, thats my fault (sam tapsell - website person).
It was in response to the article here: http://theprattler.co.uk/2011/07/03/calling-all-photographers/
When I posted the article onto the website from the magazine I followed the link to the nether heyford Flickr group and grabbed a couple of shots from there. There are half a dozen different photos which rotate automatically every couple of days.
I have added a little message top right, let me know if thats OK with you. Sam

Dear Sirs,

I am so please to see my picture being used on the front page of the Prattlers website (the silhouette of the trees). However other snottier photographers might get bent out of shape if they were not asked. On this occasion I am not bothered as it is the village magazine, however I have had picture used in the past and not been asked, other have used pictures and asked; I would say be careful next time you use a picture as other photographers my not like it. Just for interest, where did you get the picture from?

Regards
Richard Smith

I believe that I descend from the Mauntell/Mantell family of Nether Heyford. They later settled at Monks Horton in Kent. Among their descendants is the Daniell family of Canterbury. My question is what happened to the original brass of Sir Walter Mauntell and his wife Lady Elizabeth? Are they still in the church? I visited Nether Heyford's church back in the 1980s and did not see the brasses. I hope to travel to Britain in 2013 and visit the village and church again.
Thank you.
