I believe that I descend from the Mauntell/Mantell family of Nether Heyford. They later settled at Monks Horton in Kent. Among their descendants is the Daniell family of Canterbury. My question is what happened to the original brass of Sir Walter Mauntell and his wife Lady Elizabeth? Are they still in the church? I visited Nether Heyford’s church back in the 1980s and did not see the brasses. I hope to travel to Britain in 2013 and visit the village and church again.
